The Good Girls have posted another Tag: Name three things they don't know about me. I decided to post it on my blog for the sole purpose of showing off the following picture.
One: I once sang back-up for Carmen. I'm on the left in the peach shirt, and I'm absolutely certain that is the only moment in which I was staring at him.
Two: If my house were burning I would desperately attempt to rescue our photos and all my old journals, including the current one I use for myself, and the three in which I write to each of my sons. I obsess about this sometimes. I think about buying a big fire-proof safe in which I will store them every time we leave the house for more than a few hours. I really love my pictures and journals.
Three: My one wish is to someday somehow be in a movie - on the set, at least one speaking part, and a free pass to the premiere. Just once! That's all I ask.

OMG. YOU SANG WITH CARMEN????
Can you share the details on this please?
I love sharing details. My sister Felicity lives and works in a small community that is a ministry for youth and adults. Al Denson has been active in it and one summer arranged for several concerts on the grounds. Carmen was one of them, and he wanted 8 or 10 people as background singers. Somehow Felicity got the job of picking them. Yay me! We got to meet him backstage and pray with him for the show. It was a highlight of my life.
Wow! That's awesome! I'm not even qualified to sing back up to a CD in my own car!
HA! I am laughing so hard right now! Where did you get that picture?
And you can tell all of these people that you didn't stare at him like that all night, but I was on the other side of the stage and I KNOW the TRUTH! : )
Serenity, Felicity...you gals amaze me. You're, like, connected to Carmen. That's like being connected to Jesus almost. I mean, I can still remember watching his rock videos at youth group.
Wow. Wow. Wow.
PS: You should buy a fire-proof safe. Why not?
I'm in the back on the right! Wohoo! I have to have a copy of this picture.
LOL. I remember going to a Carmen concert back in high school. His songs were so cool. :)
And since you mentioned it...I think the same way about my journals and stuff. I need to get a fire-proof box. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's mind thinks like this. ;)
